About

The Community String Project (CSP) is a non-­profit organization, founded in July of 2009 with the goal of providing affordable and accessible string lessons in the East Bay area through an innovative music education program.

Remarkably, to date, the CSP has grown to serve 25 adults and 77 students, 40% meeting the criteria for subsidized instruction.

Summer 2012 Session Schedule

Summer registration is now going on. New students are being accepted in our Adult Ensembles, and returning students may sign up for our youth program. See our Programs page for details.

Community String Project Gala Featuring Cellist Michael Reynolds

June 16, 6-9:00pm, Wheaton House, Union St., Warren.
An intimate performance of Bach Cello Suites. Music, hors d'oeuvres and dessert, silent and live auctions. Tickets $75/person. Email info@communitystringproject.org for an invitation.

Student Concert

The final student concert for this session is scheduled for June 5 at Mt. Hope High School in Bristol, starting at 7pm. All student groups will perform.
