Greg Abate and Paul Del Nero come together on Friday, June 3rd, with a co-led quartet featuring original music written by both Greg and Paul. Their longtime friendship started back in 1977, when they played alongside each other in the jazz fusion group, Channel One. By the mid 80's, Greg and Paul were traveling with the Artie Shaw Orchestra under the direction of Dick Johnson, before each of them branched out on separate career paths. Greg has developed an international career as a jazz saxophonist, composer and recording artist who tours the globe as many as 225 days a year. Paul built a 30 year career on the faculty at Berklee College of Music, while maintaining an active international freelance career as a performer and educator.

The quartet, with Matt de Champlain, piano and Vinny Pagano, drums will perform a program of music that highlights Greg's and Paul's compositions and the individual instrumental styles of the quartet's members. The entire set is being recorded the next day, Saturday June 4th at WCIN's radio studio in Worcester, MA and will be released as a CD by Greg and Paul.

We hope you enjoy the music and, as always, appreciate your support!
