Community String Project is entering an exciting new chapter! As we begin our strategic planning process, we're looking for dedicated professionals to help guide the future of our organization and expand access to high-quality music education for children and families throughout our community.
Our Board of Directors plays a vital role in setting the organization's vision, ensuring strong governance, and helping Community String Project grow in a sustainable and impactful way.
You do not need to be a musician to serve on our Board.
In fact, we're intentionally seeking individuals with diverse professional experiences who are passionate about strengthening our organization so we can serve even more students for years to come.
Who We're Looking For
We're especially interested in professionals with experience in:

What Board Service Looks Like
Board members are active partners in the success of Community String Project.
The expected commitment is approximately two hours per week, which includes:

Attending monthly Board meetings

Serving on a Board committee

Participating in strategic planning
-
Completing occasional Board surveys and planning activities
-
Supporting fundraising initiatives
-
Serving as an ambassador for Community String Project within the community
Board members collaborate using common digital tools, including Google Workspace, Zoom, email, and project management software. We're looking for members who are comfortable working in a collaborative, technology-supported environment.

Growing Our Fundraising
To serve more students and ensure long-term sustainability, we're expanding our fundraising efforts.
Board members can help us grow:

Our monthly recurring individual giving program

Relationships with individual donors

Corporate and business sponsorships for performances and special events

Our annual Gala, including sponsorships, auction support, and attendee recruitment

Community partnerships that increase awareness and investment in our mission
