In Case of Cancellation of After School Activities
December 30, 2015
Looking toward the winter months there will be occasions when after school activities are cancelled due to weather. If that is the case Community String Project classes along with COZ and all other programs will also be cancelled. To insure that students will not be left unattended due to a change in the normal schedule for any given academic day the schools will not release students to go home unless there is verification from a designated parent or guardian that there will be someone to take care of them when released. As the decision to cancel may be made close to the end of the school day it is imperative that you respond quickly so that we can insure that your child is released with the rest of the school. To insure that all parents are aware of this and no children are left behind when school is released I would like to put the following protocol in effect so that the schools may release all students at the end of the school day.
Make sure that you are on the school’s alert system and that your home, cell, work, text, email and any other contact info is up to date and accurate.
Please call the Community String Project representative to verify that your child will be going home at the designated release time for that day. We will keep in contact with the schools to let them know that CSP students may be released. Contact numbers for CSP representatives for each school are as follows:
Colt Andrews – Wendy Thibault 401-602-5040
Rockwell – Blaney Norton-Hayes 523-2041
Hugh Cole –
We apologize in advance for this additional caution but we want to insure that no child is left out in the cold due to miscommunication.
Please feel free to contact me with your questions or concerts.
